Rural Road Construction & Drainage Upgrade

The Challenge

A rural property owner in Yass, NSW needed a reliable access solution for a deteriorating private road. Seasonal water pooling, poor drainage, and failing surface materials caused ongoing access issues and safety concerns. The client required a fast, permanent road upgrade within a strict three-week timeframe.

The Solution

R Con Civil conducted a detailed site inspection and identified key drainage failures and structural issues. We replaced substandard concrete pipes with engineered box culverts, regraded the road for proper water runoff, and rebuilt critical elevations to enhance long-term durability. A transparent scope of works and cost breakdown were delivered upfront, ensuring alignment with the client’s expectations.

The Result

Completed on time and within budget, the upgraded road now offers all-weather access year-round. The improved drainage and surface structure increased property safety and usability, and we continue to provide scheduled maintenance. This successful rural road construction project led to repeat work from the client.
